Google has donated more than £5m worth of clothes to Women’s Aid, the largest single donation from the search giant.
Women’s charity Women’s Equality Campaign said that Google donated $1.5m to the organisation.
Google said that “We are very proud of the impact Women’s Action has made on the lives of millions of women”.
The charity said that the gift of clothing was the second-largest ever made by the search engine.
Google has also donated $5m in 2015 to a charity that is dedicated to reducing maternal mortality and maternal morbidity, and $25m to a non-profit group that provides healthcare and education to women affected by violence.
It has also been one of the largest philanthropists of 2016 with $12.8m, and has given $3.3m to other charities.
